I think this image has a really powerful leading line that draws you through the entire image to really see what is happening with the plane. All the vertical and horizontal lines add a dynamic feel and a strong feeling of balance and parallelism. The lighting is really bright and in black and white there's a lot of contrast making it an interesting image to view. The angle and position of the camera creates an informal kind of balance one side is black and the other is white. The photo is backlit which creates a silhouette. A primary composition element in this is framing the poles frame the plane right in the center.
